The filters described below use charged fibers to maintain the best quality of air inside your home by trapping airborne allergies and contaminates within those fibers using static electricity. A charge is created when the air flows through the mesh of interwoven fibers. Any airborne particles that are in the air are attracted and held by the static charge in the filter and are only released when the filter is washed.

The main difference is with these filters and some of the other filters that you may see on the market are that these filters replace the standard disposable filter. They are meant to be used for years to come offering you and your family security and safety from airborne pollutants and respiratory infections without having to continually change a filter.

In certain models we can offer a flexible frame in applications where rigid frames cannot be used.

Electra Silver 8200

Specially designed to meet the needs of some furnaces and air conditioners that require a very low resistance due to a limited return configuration. The 0.08 inch W.G initial resistance of the electra silver 8200 will assure sufficient air flow to minimize concerns about freezing coils or overheating heat exchangers. The woven polypropylene layer with integral anti-microbial material provides 8 times more filtration than a disposable filter.

The non woven polyester pre-filter will maintain high arrestance even when soiled.

Electra Silver 9400

Designed to provide the highest arrestance available for the majority of furnaces and air conditioners. The 0.12 inch W.G initial resistance of the electra silver 9400 will perform best in systems configured with 1 square foot, or more, of filter area for each ton of air conditioning. Two layers of woven monofilament polypropylene with integral anti-microbial provide 10 times more filtration than a disposable fiberglass filter.
The deep loading center layer of non-woven polyester allows the electra silver 9400 to prolong the time between washings.

Electra Gold 9400

Provides over 94% arrestance in a premium quality extruded aluminum, gold anodized frame with a durable and attractive finish. At the heart of this filter are three layers of high arrestance material sandwiched between 2 layers of expanded steel.

A special impregnated black polypropylene has an EPA registered anti-microbial to inhibit mold and bacteria growth while the center non-woven layer retains debris in a maze of fibers designed to maximize air flow even when soiled.

Rated by an independent testing laboratory at over 94% peak arrestance, this filter has 10 times the arrestance of a disposable fiberglass filter

Notes:

1. These are 'Nominal' sizes. The actual filter frame size will follow industry standard and be 3/8" undercut, i.e. a 12 x 20 will measure 11 5/8" x 19 5/8". The width of the frames are 7/16", 7/8", and 1 ¾" for x ½", x 1", and 2" filters, respectively. Flexible frames are approximately 3/8" thick at the edges and 5/8"' thick at the center. Note: 1/2" frame filters are only available in 82% arrestance.
2. Custom sizes are also available, please specify the EXACT dimension that you want the FILTER FRAME to ACTUALLY measure. Air-Care will NOT calculate the undercut.
3. Flexible framed electrostatic air filters conform to the same specifications as the rigid aluminum framed filters, but have sewn Polypropylene webbing frame.
